Within a comfortable, safe, arboreal setting, with adequate resources, liesure and support, human potential can be joyfully pursued. As our energies and attention merge with the flow of energy, events, and the geophysical compositions around us, copacetic conditions can lead to the fulfillment of personal, community, and generational potential. Future people could evolve into more humane societies which foster joy, arts, beneficial occupations, kindness, and harmony with nature.
Micro and macro particle dynamics resemble life processes, such as self assembly, neuropysiology, computation, and dreaming. Particles and organisms assemble themselves via small collections of masses and tissues which function both as individual, self-contained units, and also as part of the machinery of the larger host unit. Like an organism, the cosmos floats cohesively as one – an eternally mixing array of energy and mass, of ebb and flow, with every part of each unit integral to the whole.
Atoms, molecules, solar systems, and galaxies are over 99.99% empty space – unbounded at any of these scales by a barrier or membrane. All of our constituent atoms being permeated by the same one void, makes everyone and everything literally interconnected.
Our aqueous bodies respond to forces such as breezes, electrical currents, the moon’s pull, and other near and far signals. When we lead diverse lives from each other, though we may be close neighbors, or even live within the same household, we lack certain primal connections which might otherwise allow our humors to wave or ripple as one. The more we share in common, such as values, concerns, diet, activities, and understandings, and the more we live in harmony with nature, the greater the chances that we might one day murmurate.
‘Flow’ is a state induced by a hyperawareness of, and interconnection with, one’s environment, with all of its perceivable events and qualities
When immersed in signals, with all our attention upon the world around and in front of us, especially within a pristine natural environment, we can best blend energetically with that system and acheive flow. Anything outside of the relevant energy system may seem nonexistent.
Mike reentered his math class to find that during his absence the other students and teacher had decorated the classroom with pictures of the white bird, which had long disturbed him.
Ishi, the last surviving member of the Yahi tribe, spent years hiding alone in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. His desperation and loneliness eventually drove him to reveal himself to white invaders/settlers, who awkwardly befriended him.
In 2023 many organisms without air conditioning perished. Wes Jackson and Robert Jensen write in An Inconvenient Apocalypse that for a livable future, along with creating new political and economic systems, we’d do well to phase out our current association of a good life with industrialized materialism, and instead cultivate a ‘creaturely’ worldview.
Paul placed his deathbed by the front window of his home so that as he lay dying he could happily visit passing friends and neighbors, prolonging his farewell party.
When a seafaring molecule is suddenly ripped apart by a great force, such as that present in a bursting bubble, an opportunity develops for the newly exposed molecular fragments and ‘tails’ to rebuild and repair themselves. At such a moment of restructuring, a mutation may occur which may lead to more complex units forming and becoming life or providing a basis for life. Dr. Bernard Yurke theorizes that just such an occurrence may have initiated life on Earth.
Self assembly exists seemingly everywhere, from dust bunnies to molecules to solar systems. Life also seems to assemble itself just about anywhere conditions permit.
